You don't live in your body anymore.

Not really. You live in your head: thinking, planning, worrying, performing. You catch your reflection and assess. You move through the day on autopilot, somewhere just behind your eyes. You eat without tasting. You touch yourself only to wash, to scratch, to check something is still where it should be.

And then occasionally, in a quiet moment (a hot shower, a slow breath, a piece of music that catches you off guard), something opens. A flash of being in yourself instead of behind yourself. And you remember. Oh. There is a body here. There is a person here. There is a whole other way to be alive.

Most of us were never taught how to come back to the body once we'd left it. Most of us were taught the opposite: to override, to push through, to manage the symptoms and keep going.

This course is the simplest version of coming home I know. Three short practices, two integration days, and a small bit of attention. That's all it takes to start.

You don't need to be in crisis to do this work. You don't need to know what you're looking for. You just need ten minutes a day for five days, and a willingness to listen to a body that's been waiting a long time to be heard.

What This Course Is About

Coming Home to Your Sensual Body is a five-day guided practice series for anyone who wants to reconnect with the body they actually live in. Not a fitness body. Not a social-media body. The real, ordinary, breathing, feeling body that most of us have stopped paying attention to.

It's built around three short guided video practices (a body scan, conscious touch, and a final practice that brings together the heart, belly and genitals) with two integration days in between to let the work land. Five days, five to ten minutes a day, at whatever time of day suits you.

The practices are somatic, which means they work with the body directly rather than trying to think your way into it. You don't need any prior experience. You don't need to be flexible, fit, calm, advanced, or any kind of 'spiritual'. You just need a quiet space and the willingness to turn toward yourself for a few minutes a day.

This is not a course about techniques.
It's about coming home to yourself.

It's a free course because I want this to be accessible to anyone who needs it. There's no upsell hidden in the practices. At the end of the five days I'll mention a few ways you can keep going if the work has landed and you'd like to go deeper, but the course is complete in itself.

What You'll Carry Forward

The aim over five days is that something starts to land in your body, not only in your understanding.

01

A way back in

Three simple practices you can return to whenever you need to come home to your body: first thing in the morning, in the middle of a stressful day, or at the end of a hard week.

02

The hand-on-heart check-in

A twenty-second self-regulation tool that fits into any moment of any day, the smallest practice in the course and probably the most useful long-term.

03

Conscious touch as a way of life

A different relationship with the way you touch yourself in ordinary moments (moisturising, washing, getting dressed), so that everyday self-care becomes a quiet form of practice.

04

A felt sense of your own body

A clearer, more honest awareness of where you live in yourself: the warm places, the numb places, the places that have been waiting for someone to listen.

05

Permission to feel

A reframe that lets numbness, distance and quiet emotion be information rather than failure, so that whatever arrives during the practices is welcome, not wrong.

06

The first step

For some people, this course is the whole journey. For others it's the first opening of a door that's been shut for a long time. Either is exactly right.

What's Included

3 Guided Video Practices

5–7 minutes each. A body scan, a conscious touch practice, and a whole-body practice that brings heart, belly and genitals into the same room.

2 Integration Days

Days 2 and 4 are integration days with full written teaching, three invitations, and reflection prompts, not days off, but where the work actually lands.

Reflection Prompts on Every Lesson

A few private journalling questions attached to each day, including the video days. Nothing is submitted. They're yours.

Daily Drip Emails

A short, warm email every morning of the course, partly a reminder, partly a continuation of the teaching. Five emails plus a follow-up.

Yours to Keep

Once you're enrolled, the course stays in your account. You can come back and repeat any practice whenever you need to.

What You'll Explore

Five days. Three practices. Two integration days. One invitation to come home.

1
Body Scan and Body Focusing
Day 1 · Arriving in your body
A gentle practice of moving your attention through your body, noticing whatever is there without trying to change it. I'll guide you through simple questions that invite your body to speak, and teach you how to listen.
2
Integration Day
Day 2 · Listening again
No new video. A short reflection, an invitation to notice how your body is today, and a practice you can repeat if you want to. The body responds to rhythm more than intensity. This is where we teach it that this is a pattern, not a one-off.
3
Conscious Touch
Day 3 · Meeting your own skin
Bringing the same quality of attention to your own skin. A practice of slow, present touch: not massaging, not striving, just noticing what touch feels like when you're actually present for it. Nothing fancy, nothing hidden.
4
Integration Day
Day 4 · Touch in ordinary moments
Another chance to let things settle. A gentle invitation to bring conscious touch out of the practice and into one ordinary moment of your day, plus the most useful self-regulation tool in the whole course.
5
Your Whole Body: Heart, Belly, Genitals
Day 5 · Coming home
Bringing the deeper practice of awareness to your heart space and your genitals, and, importantly, the space between them. Not about sexual arousal. About awareness, and about the connection that so many of us have lost between love and sensation. You're in complete control the whole way through.

Is This Course Right for You?

This course is for you if…

You've been living in your head for a long time. You're curious about somatic work but don't know where to start. You want to feel more, not less. You feel disconnected, mechanical, or like something is missing even when nothing is technically wrong. You've done lots of talking-based self-work and you're ready for something that starts with the body instead. You're curious about what it means to come home to yourself, and you'd like a soft place to begin.

This course may not be right for you if…

You're in the middle of a mental health crisis or early trauma recovery. The practices are gentle, and you're in complete control throughout, but somatic work can sometimes bring up sensations or emotions. If you have significant trauma history, it's worth having a trauma-informed therapist or body worker you trust as a support. If anything feels like too much, stop. That is always a valid response.

If a five-day course feels small, it isn't. The body knows how to use small.

Notes from My Practice

These reflections are from women who have done somatic work with me in other contexts: 1:1 sessions, the Women's Circle, and longer programmes. The Coming Home course is new and gathering its own stories. If it lands for you, I'd love to hear.

"I instantly felt comfortable with Melanie. From the first session we did exercises that helped me deeply understand my body and what was actually going on underneath the noise. I highly recommend her for anyone wanting to start this journey in a safe space."

Natalia

"I can honestly say I can now really tell when I'm in my body and when I'm in my mind, and that's a huge thing. I didn't even know there was a difference before. Working with Melanie helped me release shame I didn't know I was holding."

Vaishali

"Melanie is one of the safest and most empowering people I know. She helped me explore the deep and intimate subject of sensuality, while also teaching me how to value myself and create personal space. She lives what she teaches."

Guiding your journey through deep embodied wisdom and lived experience

Melanie Knight

Certified Sexological Bodyworker (CSB) · Somatic Sex Educator

I know what it's like to feel disconnected from your body, to use pain to try to feel something, to believe you're unlovable. I've walked that path, and found my way through to the other side.

My journey to this work began with my own profound awakening through Tantra. I discovered how to move from disconnection to embodied aliveness, from shame to celebration, and from pain to pleasure.

I'm now 50, in a deeply loving Tantric polyamorous relationship, and practice Tantra daily. As a Certified Sexological Bodyworker (CSB), Certified Somatic Sex Educator (CSSE), and transformational coach with over 20 years of experience, I combine extensive training with profound personal transformation:

• 10+ years studying Tantra and sacred sexuality practices
• 15+ years with Landmark (former seminar leader)
• 6+ years as a Clean Language facilitator
• Former board member of the Association of Certified Sexological Bodyworkers
• Recommended supervisor for practitioners

I specialise in supporting women through perimenopause and menopause to reconnect with their bodies and reclaim their sexual power. I came to this work through my own experience of it, and that is still the reason I do it.

Questions You Might Have

Is this really free?
Yes, the course is genuinely free, no payment required and no hidden fees. I created it because I want more people to have access to this work. At the end of the five days I'll gently mention a few ways you can keep going if the work has landed and you'd like to go deeper, but there's no hard sell. You're welcome to do the course, take what's useful and leave it there.
Do I need a partner?
No. This is entirely solo work. It's about your relationship with yourself first.
What if I'm new to this kind of work?
This course is designed as a gentle entry point. You don't need any experience. Newcomers often have the freshest experience of the practices.
What if I've done lots of somatic work already?
You'll still find something here. Experienced practitioners often tell me they're surprised by how much depth there is in simple practices done with genuine presence.
Is this appropriate if I have a history of trauma?
The practices are gentle and you're in complete control throughout. That said, body-based work can sometimes bring up sensations or emotions. If you have significant trauma history, it's worth having a trauma-informed therapist or body worker you trust as a support. If anything feels like too much, stop. That is always a valid response.
Will I be asked to touch my genitals?
On Day 5 there's an awareness practice that includes bringing attention to your genital area. You are not asked to touch, just to notice. You remain clothed throughout. You can skip this practice entirely if it doesn't feel right.
What if I miss a day?
That's fine. The course is self-paced. You can catch up, or let it go, or start again whenever you want.
Is this suitable for men, non-binary people, everyone?
Yes. The practices are body-based and the language is inclusive. Anyone with a body is welcome.
Will I be added to a mailing list?
You'll receive the course emails over the days. There's a separate checkbox on the signup form if you'd like to also receive occasional emails from my work. Tick it if you want, leave it blank if you don't. Either way, you get the course.
