Learn at Your Own Pace

Self-study courses for embodied awareness, boundaries, and reconnecting with your body's wisdom

The Power of Self-Directed Learning

Sometimes the most profound transformation happens in complete privacy, at your own pace, in the sanctuary of your own space. Self-study courses offer a unique pathway into this work, one that honours your need for privacy whilst providing structured guidance and support.

Self-study learning offers distinct advantages:

Privacy and Safety

Explore vulnerable territory without the pressure of being seen or heard by others. Your learning space is entirely your own, allowing you to move at whatever pace feels safe and comfortable.

Flexibility

No fixed schedules or time zones to navigate. Learn when it suits your life: early morning, late evening, or any time in between. Pause, replay, and revisit content as many times as you need.

Deep Persona Practice

Without the dynamics of a group or facilitator present, you can sink more deeply into your own experience. This creates space for authentic discovery rather than performance or comparison.

Lifetime Access

Return to the material whenever you need it. As you evolve and your relationship with the content deepens, you can revisit practices with fresh eyes and new understanding.

Accessible Entry Point

Self-study courses often feel less intimidating than live sessions, making them an ideal starting point if you're new to this work or hesitant about more direct interaction.

Cost-Effective

Access comprehensive teachings and practices at a more accessible price point than individual sessions or group programmes, whilst still receiving high-quality guidance.

Self-study isn't for everyone. Some people need the accountability of live sessions or the connection of community. But for those who thrive in solitude and prefer self-directed exploration, these courses provide powerful tools for transformation.

How Self-Study Courses Work

Structure and Support

Video-Based Learning

Each course includes pre-recorded video modules that you can watch at your own pace. These aren't just lectures. They include demonstrations, guided practices, and experiential exercises you can do in real-time or pause and come back to.

Practical Exercises

Every module includes hands-on practices designed to move learning from your head into your body. These might include conscious touch exercises, breathwork, movement practices, journaling prompts, or mirror work.

Downloadable Resources

Supporting materials like worksheets, audio guides, and PDF resources help you integrate the learning. These remain accessible long after you complete the course.

Self-Paced Progress

There's no "falling behind." Complete modules in order or jump to what calls you most. Some people move through a course in weeks, others over months. Both approaches are valid.

Integration Time

Built-in pauses between modules give you time to practice and integrate before moving on. The real transformation happens not in watching videos but in the daily practice between lessons.

Ongoing Access

Once enrolled, you have lifetime access to course materials. Return whenever you need a refresher or when you're ready to go deeper with practices you've already explored.

What Makes These Courses Different

Embodied, Not Just Educational

These aren't typical online courses where you watch videos and tick boxes. This is embodied learning: practices you feel in your body, not just understand intellectually.

  • Trauma-Informed Approach : All practices are designed with nervous system awareness. You're encouraged to honour your boundaries and pace, with options to modify any exercise that doesn't feel safe.
  • Somatic Focus : The emphasis is on felt sense and embodied experience, not performance or achieving specific outcomes. There's no "doing it right", only discovering what's true for you.
  • Real Practices, Not Theory : Less talking about concepts, more actually practising. You'll spend more time with your hands on your body than watching me talk.
  • Progressive Learning : Courses are carefully sequenced to build capacity gradually. We start with foundational practices before moving into more vulnerable territory.
  • Authentic Teaching : I share from my own journey, including the messy parts. These courses aren't polished performances. They're genuine transmissions of practices that have transformed my own life.
  • Flexible and Forgiving : Life happens. You might start a course and need to pause for weeks or months. That's fine. The materials are there whenever you're ready to return.

Who Self-Study Courses Are For

Is This Approach Right for You?

Self-study courses work particularly well if you:

  • Need complete privacy for this exploration
  • Have scheduling constraints that make live sessions difficult
  • Prefer to learn at your own pace without external pressure
  • Want to try this work before committing to individual or group sessions
  • Are self-motivated and can maintain practice without external accountability
  • Value being able to pause, replay, and revisit content multiple times
  • Work better when you can integrate learning slowly over time
  • Find the idea of live sessions intimidating but are curious about the work

Self-study might not be the best fit if you:

  • Need direct feedback and personalised guidance
  • Struggle with self-motivation and need external accountability
  • Are processing acute trauma and need live support
  • Want the connection and community that comes with group work
  • Need someone to witness your process and hold space for you
  • Have questions that require real-time dialogue to answer

Many people start with self-study courses and later move into individual or group work as they build confidence and understanding. There's no "right" pathway, only what serves you best in this moment.

What Participants Say

Women's Group
Young Women (20s-30s)

Safety • Boundaries • Understanding
"I highly recommend Melanie for whoever wants to embark on this journey in a safe space!"

I instantly felt comfortable with Melanie to discuss personal experiences, fears and goals when it comes to conscious sexuality. From first session we did exercises that helped me deeply understand my behaviour, consent and personal boundaries.

Natalia
Being In Love With You Course
Motherhood (30s-40s)

Self-Love • Transformation • Authenticity
"Instead of acting from fear, I am putting out what I really want"

Before the course I was having a hard time accepting and loving myself, my looks, my body. I was able to create massive changes in my relationship with my partner - by setting clear boundaries and asking for what I really want, the whole dynamic of our relationship transformed into a more mature and loving relationship. I am genuinely feeling way more comfortable in my own skin.

Being In Love With You Course
Menopause & Beyond (50s)

Self-Worth • Empowerment • New Beginnings
"I have learnt to check in with myself and check what I need before I respond to what other people want"

I am a 53-year-old mother who had just walked away from a 15-year relationship. I'm still the kind compassionate person I was before but I am not anxious and burnt out. I've had conversations I would not have thought myself brave enough to have. I have clearly asked for what I need. I have even asked for a pay increase which I got! The world feels like a safer place.

Common Questions

"How long do I have access to the course materials?"

You have lifetime access to all course materials once enrolled. This means you can revisit content whenever you need it, whether that's weeks, months, or years after your initial completion.

"What if I start a course and realise I need more support?"

Self-study courses can be a stepping stone to more supported work. If you find you need direct guidance, you can book individual sessions or join a group programme. The practices you've learned in the course will give you a foundation for that deeper work.

"Do I need any special equipment or setup?"

No special equipment needed. You'll want a private space where you feel comfortable, perhaps some cushions or a comfortable place to lie down, and ideally a full-length mirror for some exercises. Everything else you need is provided in the course.

"What if I'm going through menopause/perimenopause/postpartum? Will these courses still work for me?"

Yes. The practices are designed to meet you where you are in your body right now. You're encouraged to modify any exercise to suit your current capacity and comfort level. The principles of embodiment and body awareness apply regardless of life stage.

"I've experienced sexual trauma. Are these courses safe for me?"

The courses are designed with trauma-informed principles and emphasise going at your own pace. However, if you're currently processing acute trauma, you might want to work with a trauma-informed Sexological Bodyworker or a somatic trauma therapist who can provide direct support and witness your process. Self-study can work well for trauma survivors who have done some healing work and feel ready for gentle self-exploration, as you have complete control over pacing and boundaries.

"Can I do these courses if I'm in a relationship?"

Absolutely. Whilst the courses focus on your individual relationship with your body, the skills you develop, like boundary setting, consent practices and body awareness, tend to show up in intimate relationships too. Some courses include optional exercises to try with a partner.

"What's the difference between self-study courses and your group programmes?"

Self-study courses are pre-recorded and you work through them entirely on your own schedule. Group programmes are live, include interaction with me and other participants, and provide ongoing support and accountability. Self-study offers more privacy and flexibility; groups offer connection and witnessed transformation. Many people start with self-study and later join groups.

"What if I don't complete the course in the suggested timeframe?"

That's completely fine. The suggested timeframes are guides, not rules. Some people move through courses quickly; others take months or even return to content years later. There's no "falling behind" with self-paced learning.
