LGBTQ+ Affirming Sexuality Coaching
Your sexuality and your body are yours. Whatever your gender identity, sexual orientation or relationship structure, you deserve support that truly sees and affirms who you are, not support that merely tolerates difference or awkwardly navigates around it.
At Conscious Sexuality, LGBTQ+ affirming practice isn't an add-on. It's woven into the foundations of how I work.
What "Affirming" Actually Means
- Knowledge, not just acceptance: I understand the specific experiences, joys and challenges that LGBTQ+ people navigate around sexuality and embodiment
- No assumptions: About your body, your partners, your desires, your history or your goals
- Language that fits: I follow your lead on how you describe your body, your identity and your experiences
- Understanding of context: The effects of heteronormativity, minority stress, coming out (or not), family rejection, and the ways these show up in the body
- Celebration, not just tolerance: Your queerness is not a problem to work around. It's part of who you are
Common Reasons LGBTQ+ People Seek This Work
Coming Into Your Body After Coming Out
Coming out, whether recently or years ago, can leave a gap between your identity and your embodied experience. Somatic work helps your body catch up with your truth.
Gender and Embodiment
If your relationship with your body is complicated by gender dysphoria, or if you're exploring your gender identity, somatic practices can help you develop a relationship with your body that feels more like home.
Healing from Shame
Growing up LGBTQ+ in a heteronormative world leaves marks. Somatic work reaches the shame that lives in the body: the tension in the chest, the holding in the pelvis, the difficulty receiving pleasure.
Navigating Non-Monogamy
If you're in an open relationship, polyamorous, or exploring ethical non-monogamy, somatic coaching can support you with the embodied dimensions: managing jealousy in the body, staying present with multiple partners, communicating desires and boundaries somatically.
Intimacy After Trauma
LGBTQ+ people experience disproportionately high rates of sexual violence and intimate partner violence. Healing from trauma requires a practitioner who understands the specific dynamics.
How I Work
Sessions are tailored entirely to you. They may include breathwork, body awareness practices, boundary exercises, guided self-touch, movement, and education. For couples, we work with both of you in the room.
All touch practices are fully consensual, clearly boundaried, and guided at every step. You are always in control.
I work with individuals and couples of all gender identities and sexual orientations. My practice is in North London N11, and discovery calls are available online.
