You have almost certainly pretended at some point. Most people have, often to bring things to a kind conclusion.

This first episode starts exactly there, with what happens when orgasm becomes the thing sex is for.

Strip n Sip Podcast

In this debut episode of Strip n Sip, Melanie and co-host Natalia Suta lay the foundation for the entire series with a candid, wide-ranging conversation about orgasms. Natalia opens with a confession many women will recognise: she does not climax every time she has sex, and knowing that orgasm does not have to be the end goal of every sexual encounter comes as a genuine relief. From there, Melanie unpacks why so many women struggle to orgasm from penetrative sex (most women orgasm from clitoral stimulation, and the biology of full arousal takes around 40 minutes), why faking orgasms does a disservice to both partners, and why knowing your own body is the foundation of great sex.

A central message of this episode is the tantric principle of slowing down and enjoying pleasure along the way, rather than chasing the orgasm. Melanie explains how our culture has conditioned us to be goal-oriented, rushing towards climax the way we rush through everything else, and how this disconnects us from our bodies and from the extraordinary range of sensation available to us. She introduces the idea that there are seven or eight types of orgasm, including clitoral, G-spot, A-spot, vaginal, breast, and energy orgasms, and briefly explores the differences between them, from the deep emotional release of a G-spot orgasm to the whole-body bliss of a breast orgasm.

The conversation also touches on the elephant in the room: why talking to a partner about orgasms feels so difficult, the tendency to blame partners rather than exploring our own bodies first, and how neither men nor women are really taught about pleasure in any meaningful way. Paired with a rich Argentinian Malbec, intense, complex, and with a long finish, this episode sets the tone for the series: honest, warm, liberating, and full of "things you don't know you don't know."
