For something so much has been said about, remarkably little of it is accurate.

This episode approaches penises the way you might approach any other part of the body: with curiosity, and without a ruler.

Strip n Sip Podcast

In this episode, the first of the penises conversation, Melanie and co-host Natalia Suta celebrate penises in all their glorious diversity. Drawing on ancient wisdom from The Sexual Practices of Quodoushka (teachings from the Nagual tradition), Melanie reveals that penises are categorised into at least nine different types, from the small and straight "Coyote Man" to the thick "Pit Bull Man" to the long, curved "Dancing Man", and that size and shape are far less important than the match between partners. She is direct with listeners: if something is not working, it is each person's responsibility to speak up, try different positions, and explore rather than suffer in silence or expect a partner to be a mind reader.

The episode tackles head-on the shame and insecurity many men carry about their penises, fuelled by porn and unrealistic media portrayals. Melanie makes the point that there is no perfect size or shape, and that a large penis without skill or presence is far less satisfying than a connected, adventurous partner. She also addresses the reality that erection hardness varies, with age, health, stress, emotional dynamics, and habitual patterns all playing a role, and that a soft penis is absolutely not a tragedy. Women, she explains, can play a significant role in supporting their partner's arousal through desire, playfulness, and pelvic floor engagement.

Throughout the conversation, the themes of communication, partnership, and shared responsibility run strong. Melanie challenges both men and women to move beyond comparison, beyond patterns, and beyond the idea that there is one "right way" to do things. Instead, she invites listeners into a space of curiosity, adventure, and play, where two people work things out together with honesty and warmth. Paired with a bold Cabernet Sauvignon from Aldi that punches well above its price, this episode is grounded, generous, and full of practical wisdom.
